The Jaleh Esfahani Foundation was established in 2009 and is registered as a charity in the United Kingdom. The foundation is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Persian speakers. We preserve and share cultural treasures while encouraging new voices from Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and beyond.
Jaleh Esfahani Cultural Foundation
The Persian Cultural Foundation was established with the aim of preserving, promoting, and sharing the magnificent heritage of Iranian civilization. Iranian culture, with a history spanning thousands of years, has made a great contribution to poetry, literature, and art.
Our mission is to create a vibrant community in which Iranian traditions flourish alongside contemporary expressions of culture. We hold cultural events, educational programs, art exhibitions, and literary gatherings that connect people with their heritage and introduce the beauty of Iranian culture to others.
Through our initiatives, we strive to bridge generations and different communities, ensuring that the wisdom, art, and values of Iranian culture continue to inspire people's lives around the world.
Mission and Purpose
Our mission is to advance public education and engagement with Iranian culture through the following:
Promoting the poetry, literature, music, theater, and cinema of Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, and other Persian-speaking communities.
- • Preserving and making accessible the works of Jaleh Esfahani and other Persian-speaking poets and writers.
- • Encouraging and supporting young poets under thirty through the annual Jaleh Poetry Prize (established in 2009).
- • Organizing cultural programs, workshops, and dialogues that foster discourse and understanding among communities.
- • Conducting research on the literary, cultural, and historical traditions of Persian-speaking communities.
The foundation is committed to inclusivity, transparency, and cultural richness, ensuring that its resources and activities remain accessible to everyone who shares in this vision.
Our Constitution
The Jaleh Esfahani Cultural Foundation, registered in the United Kingdom, is a charitable, non-political, and non-religious organization dedicated to advancing public education and awareness of Iranian and Persian culture. The foundation's mission includes promoting the Persian language, poetry, literature, music, cinema, and theater; organizing performances, workshops, and dialogues; supporting research and making its results available to the public; and providing financial support for related cultural projects. The foundation operates solely for charitable purposes, its income and assets are spent in pursuit of these goals, and it is governed by a board of trustees who ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with charity law.
